‘We are very excited to announce our partnership with Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC), a subsidiary of the renowned Indian Oil Corporation, in pursuit of Greenstat’s vision to make green energy a reality. This collaboration marks the formation of a partnership, which aims to explore and seize commercial opportunities within the hydrogen value chain in Sri Lanka. As one of the pioneering hydrogen development programs in the country, this partnership holds tremendous potential for advancing sustainable energy solutions.
In close coordination with LIOC, Greenstat will develop a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for the establishment of a green hydrogen value system. Through collaborative pilot projects, we will conduct feasibility studies and work towards the deployment of green hydrogen technologies, with the ultimate goal of scaling them up for commercial use. Our focus will primarily encompass the downstream transport sector, as well as the bunkering and supply of green fuels for export.
Drawing upon our extensive expertise in green hydrogen technologies, Greenstat will actively support LIOC in knowledge and capacity building for the development of the green hydrogen ecosystem in Sri Lanka. Additionally, we will work towards aligning LIOC’s green hydrogen strategy with the overall strategy prepared by Greenstat for the government of Sri Lanka.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in our mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable and environmentally friendly energy sources. By combining our strengths and resources, we are poised to drive positive change in Sri Lanka’s energy landscape and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.
