This role is designed for a senior professional who wants to move beyond conventional business development and play a central role in shaping how projects are identified, structured, and delivered.
You will work directly with leadership to influence strategic direction, originate high-impact opportunities, and guide technical and commercial teams in translating complex energy transition challenges into executable projects.

Role Overview
Greenstat is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across renewable energy and new fuels sectors.
This role combines:
- Business development and project origination
- Technical advisory oversight
- Proposal and commercial leadership
- Team mentoring and capability building.
Candidates with prior experience in large multinational consulting firms, EPC companies, global energy developers, or established renewable energy organizations are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Development & Project Origination
- Identify, develop, and secure new opportunities across:
- Biomass & Waste-to-Energy
- Green Hydrogen & Derivatives
- Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
- Green Methanol & Green Ammonia
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial clients, developers, investors, and government stakeholders.
- Develop market-entry strategies and expand Greenstat’s presence across APAC, Europe, and Middle East markets.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and project closure.
- Technical Advisory & Project Guidance
- Provide senior-level guidance on:
- Feasibility studies
- Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)
- Technical-commercial assessments
- Technology selection and project structuring
- Review project outputs to ensure consulting-grade quality and practical implementation alignment.
- Bridge technical analysis with commercial decision-making.
- Proposal & Commercial Leadership
- Lead development of high-impact proposals, concept notes, and strategic pitch decks.
- Define clear value propositions and project engagement models.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams during proposal development and bid submissions.
- Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Mentor and groom junior consultants and analysts.
- Establish best practices for project execution, analysis, and client communication.
- Support leadership in strengthening internal capabilities and expanding service offerings.
- Market Intelligence & Strategic Positioning
- Monitor global market trends, policies, and funding opportunities in energy transition sectors.
- Provide strategic insights to leadership on emerging opportunities and service expansion.
- Represent Greenstat in industry forums, partnerships, and ecosystem engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Energy, Sustainability, or related field. A Master’s is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in renewable energy business development, consulting, or project advisory.
- Prior experience working with large organizations / multinational firms / established project developers, or EPC companies.
- Demonstrated experience in project development or advisory assignments across APAC, Europe, or the Middle East markets.
- Experience guiding feasibility studies and technical project documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA / M. Tech or equivalent) preferred.
- Consulting or advisory background in clean energy transition.
- Experience in mentoring teams or leading project groups.
- Strong exposure to industrial decarbonization or renewable fuels value chains.
