Ayana Renewable Partners with Greenstat Hydrogen India to Develop Green Hydrogen Projects in India
Ayana Renewable Power (Ayana), backed by the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), and Greenstat ASA’s subsidiary Greenstat Hydrogen India (Norway) have signed a Joint Development Agreement to develop green hydrogen projects using renewable energy in India.
The companies will collaborate to develop large-scale green hydrogen solutions to supply long-term green hydrogen to Indian industrial and commercial customers. Karnataka will launch an initial pilot project.
This partnership supports India’s National Hydrogen Mission, which aims to make India a global center for the production and export of green hydrogen.
Ayana’s CEO and MD, Mr. Shivanand Nimbargi said: “By 2050 India will produce three-fourths of its hydrogen from renewable sources.” Ayana and Greenstat, both experts in their respective fields, have the expertise necessary to support this growth.
Greenstat Hydrogen India Chairman, Mr. Sturle Persen commented on the collaboration. “Greenstat is looking forward to a long-term, fruitful partnership with Ayana. We believe together that strong measures will be needed to achieve the transition from fossil energy to renewable energy.
