Colombo, 8 August 2024 — Greenstat Hydrogen Sri Lanka Pvt Ltd (GHSL) has signed a pivotal Letter of Intent (LOI) with the University of Ruhuna (UoR), aiming to advance Green Hydrogen research and development. This partnership, involving the Faculty of Engineering at UoR, promises to place Sri Lanka at the forefront of sustainable energy innovation.
Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna, Senior Professor Sujeewa Amarasena, highlighted the institution’s strong track record in fostering successful collaborations:

The collaboration will prioritize Green Hydrogen technologies and their role in Sri Lanka’s energy transition. UoR has pledged comprehensive administrative support to ensure projects align with regulatory requirements, bolstering their success.

Greenstat Hydrogen India (Pvt) Ltd. This collaboration aims to propel green hydrogen and ammonia projects in India and Sri Lanka, marking a significant milestone in the region’s energy transition journey.
Under the agreement, GHI and H2Carrier will work together to identify, evaluate, and implement green hydrogen and ammonia projects. A central focus of this partnership is the use of H2Carrier’s innovative P2XFloater™ technology, the world’s first floating green ammonia production solution, which harnesses renewable energy for large-scale production and export.
